The most important event of the year for the Institute took place in London, with the participation of all the owners of associated wineries, attracting trade, press, sommeliers and leading experts from the world of wine.

In the elegant lobby of One London Wall, in an exclusive masterclass led by Patrick Schmitt MW, the 2004 vintage of a wine from each winery was tasted to celebrate the Institute’s 20th anniversary. The masterclass was followed by a walk-around tasting dedicated to the trade.
In the evening, at the Italian Embassy in London, after the greetings of the Ambassador and speeches by President Piero Mastroberardino and IMW Executive Manager Julian Gore-Booth, a gala dinner was held to mark 14 years of agreement with the Masters of Wine Institute, with over 70 producers, key players in the English trade, press, authorities and Italian correspondents in London.
